Forbidden feelings

Feelings; So fragile and yet so complicated. No matter what, there’s always; there will always be, a problem, an obstacle, in the way of happiness. Though we try, we cannot fight our feelings, nor can we change them. We can only try to hide them, ignore them, hope no one notices them. ‘Life is a stage’ or so they say, but in the end, the mask will fall, the lies will be revealed, and all that will be left is the hatred, the pain, the deceit. Twisted RealityWalking, through the fog, I can’t see through it, how I long to see my future, my purpose, my meaning. I’m alone, lost, searching into the unknown, endless, silence, icy stillness. I hear … Voices, calling to me, chanting my name, over and over again. Could this be it? I run through the fog, I must find them, follow them, answers! I see light, hope. The fog begins to disappear, clear. Voices, getting louder, clearer. The force, pulling me to them, stronger. I begin to make out a shadow of something, faster still, a bush? So close, I can sense them, fear. A rose bush, so beautiful yet so painful. Stairs, heaven? I stop. Stare. D Twisted Reality

TrappedI look forward, A blank wall, Stares back at me, I slowly uncurl, From my huddled ball, And cautiously get up.
I look around, Side to side, Up and down, Nothing, But cold, White walls, Surround me, All I can see.
Like a caged animal, I panic, There’s no room, I can barely move, Questions droning, In my mind, Where am I? What am I doing here?
